Dear jsilvam,

Thank you for reporting this. I found a broken link and fixed it. Would you mind trying again?

If it still fails, could you please tell me where the bad link is, please?

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I try to download file from...

1. The button "download probe" into http://java-monitor.com/forum/index.php

2. The link "download your probe" into http://java-monitor.com/forum/index.php

3. The link "click the probe download link" into http://java-monitor.com/install.html

... I cannot open the file yet

Dear jsilvam,

That is really strange. http://java-monitor.com/lemongrass/java-monitor-probe.zip is the correct URL for the download.

You have to be logged in in the forum to download the probe, though. That link won't work from a command line utility (e.g. wget/curl/fetch). if your browser is set to use each browser window as a different session, you may not be able to open the link in a new tab or window.

Other than that, I have just tried each of the places you tried to download from and it works for me. You could try sending me a screenshot of the error message via e-mail (kjkoster at java-monitor dot com).

Dear jsilvam,

It turned out that this was caused by a truly ancient bug in Internet Explorer that caused IE to be confused by gzipped content. I thought that was fixed way back in 2002-ish when I first ran into this bug.

Could you please try again? I just tested with IE7 on XP and the download (now) works.
